Knowledge is power

Conducting workshops or interactive talks is one of my favourite activities!

In person or online, I can cover any topic related to exercise and sports nutrition, or basic nutrition knowledge, specific focus nutrition, in 60 to 90-minute sessions. 

 

Because the foundation of any athletic performance is health, before thinking about performance nutrition, we need to make sure our diet can support our health.

 

This means promoting a whole-foods, nutrient-dense, rich and balanced diet, daily, with the support of sports foods around exercise.

 

Here are a few examples of some workshops I conducted alone or with a peer co-host. It is fun to join forces and collaborate, and it brings more substance and ideas to the discussions. The concept is always to promote performance through health!

Nutritional considerations for the female athlete during the menopause transition

This was a co-hosted event with Vicky Sham from Mile and Bite. As female endurance athletes, we came together on this common project on a topic of critical importance in a woman’s life, especially one actively engaging in endurance sports.

The workshop was structured into 2 parts of around 15-20 minutes each, with some discussions after each, between participants and co-hosts. And it took place at the Spice Box Organic in Central, Hong Kong, on 12th April 2025.

 

Vicky and I truly believe every woman should be prepared before entering perimenopause, considering the impact the transition has on our muscle mass, bone mass density, as well as our energy levels, sleep, brain health and recovery ability.

Nutrition for female endurance athletes workshops for Exchange & Empower

The Exchange and Empower Trail Running Scholarship Program aims to support passionate trail runners from the foreign domestic helper community in Hong Kong. 

It was my absolute pleasure to host 3 events between 2024 and 2025 with them.

The sessions were structured in educational presentations about nutrition for health and endurance sport (focused on running), as well as sharing experiences and preferences. We did it in different settings, and even took it to the outdoors! I like to integrate interactive moments in these events, such as quizzes and guessing games, to  make it more fun and more memorable
