Meet the Diet Designer
Hi, I’m Laurence, a French sport and exercise nutritionist based in Hong Kong since 2008, an enthusiastic runner and hiker enjoying the outdoors!
How did I become a sports and exercise nutritionist?
In my pursuit of endurance and trail-running events in Hong Kong, I made a lot of nutrition “mistakes”, based on what I could gather online. Unfortunately, this led to some deficiencies that impaired my health and my training.
Hence, I decided to go back part-time to university to properly "learn the science of nutrition”, as my field of work was interior design!
What are the common grounds between a designer and a nutritionist?
There are a lot of commonalities between design and nutrition. Both areas require sensitivity and listening skills to your needs, and reasonable problem-solving. When it comes to your own personalized diet plan, your mind and body are included in the design.

As a diet designer nutrition expert, I live by my own principles which also includes participating in races amongst likeminded people.
What is my approach?
I firmly practice what is based on established science and research. Being a runner and hiker myself, I have first-hand knowledge and understanding of the needs and demands of endurance and ultra-endurance sports.
All athletes will face some degree of challenges when preparing for and during an event, and during recovery. All of which can be managed with an appropriate nutrition plan.
But most of all, we are humans!

I have first hand knowledge and understanding of the needs and demands of endurance and ultra-endurance sports
